Mosquito Lagoon Fly Fishing and Light Tackle Guide
I am Capt. Chris Adams and welcome to Adams Fly Co. Guide Service, where the pursuit of Florida’s shallow water game fish never ends. My philosophy comes from my work ethic, our days are not measured in numbers, but in experiences and memories. I am patient with all levels of anglers, I excel at sight fishing in shallow water and just flat out love to fish. Our Lagoon system on the Space Coast is the perfect setting to stalk wary fish. Whether you choose a fly rod or spinning rod, the excitement is undeniable. Join me for an unforgettable day as we stalk Redfish, Speckled Seatrout, Snook, and Tarpon in the famous Mosquito Lagoon!
Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon
Our fishing area is located less than an hour away from Orlando, and minutes from New Smyrna Beach, both Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon offer beautiful mangrove shorelines and shallow flats offering perfect habitat for quietly stalking gamefish. This Lagoon system is one of the most unique estuaries anywhere in the world. The Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon are adjacent to the John F. Kennedy Space Center and NASA thus creating the “Space Coast” in the early 1960’s. The Merritt Island Nation Wildlife Refuge encompasses approx. 140,000 acres of land, water and marshes to provide habitat and protection for more than 1,500 species of plants and animals along with 15 federally listed species. More than 140 species of freshwater and saltwater fish reside in the refuge open water, protected estuaries and freshwater wetlands. When choosing your guide for this area be sure they are permitted to fish within the boundaries of the Refuge. There is only a fixed number of Permitted guides and Capt. Chris Adams is permitted and authorized to fish the Canaveral National Seashore as well as the Merritt Island Refuge waters.
